i try, you try is Julie Lipson's solo loop pedal project. "Pathwork" is a snapshot of a moment in time when Julie was writing songs on their loop pedal and then translating them into live instrumentations. The resulting songs were created during weekly collaboration sessions with Brian Miller (The Lightning Bug Situation). Experimentation with music and emotion was central to the collaborative process, reflecting the content of their lives as Julie was studying music therapy in grad school, and Brian was producing an album while working as a therapist. After sitting unreleased for 9 years, these songs are finally seeing the light of day.

PATHWORK: The challenge you continuously come up against. You can consistently work on it, and yet it will still be your work. How frustrating that this will always be the path you walk. OR how liberating that you know what the path is.
